“Time has preoccupied my mind in recent years. Time, and numbers as a unit of measurement for a clock, calendar and distance travelled. The older I get, the more significant time is on my journey through life.” – Christian Palmer
There is a quote from Rose Kennedy, mother of JFK, that I really like. “Life is not a matter of milestones, but of moments.”
The 28 paintings in this exhibition are small windows into an expanse of moments and dream time on a kind of metaphysical road trip.
Moments in Time
Although there is reference to place in the barren horizons, geographical features and waterlogged landscapes, it is more about the calm after the storm and a sense of post-apocalyptic peace.
